Temu Review: Is This Viral Shopping App Really Worth It? (My Honest Review)

One of my favorite Sunday activities is: a big cup of hot coffee, my most comfortable blanket, and “just browsing” comfortably on the phone. I don’t always have to buy, I just like to look. This is my digital window shopping.

And on one such lazy Sunday, my thumb stopped scrolling. I was watching an advertisement of a website named Temu.

My First Temu Experience: Skepticism Meets Curiosity

The ad showed an awesome bohemian-style phone case, for just ₹199. Teen silicone kitchen spatula for ₹99. And a very cozy looking oversized sweater for just ₹529. My first thought, maybe the same will happen with you too, was, “This must be a scam for sure. It is not possible.”

But curiosity, as it always happens, took over. I thought, “Let me download the app and see. Maybe I should buy a small thing to test.” Famous. Last. Words.

Three days later, an absolutely shocking bright orange package was lying at my doorstep. When I opened it, not just one, but seven different things came out which I had convinced myself that I needed. For the next hour I spent unpacking everything like a Christmas child. Listen? I was really in shock.

The phone case was even better than the photo.
The sweater was really soft and of good quality.

And that small electric whisk that I had bought for fun, actually worked!

This was my first Temu shopping. Now it has become my not-so-guilty pleasure. Amazing, wonderful and very easy to find small joys. But I am going, it seems a bit sketchy. I am going, you must have some questions in your mind. So I thought I should write a completely transparent and detailed review for you all. This is the biggest beauty of Temu. There is so much variety of things here that you will be left with no flowers in your hands. It’s less of a shop and more of a digital warehouse… well, for everything! During my deep research, I found:

Fashion: Trendy graphic tees, comfortable loungewear, jewelry, shoes, and surprising stylish dresses.

Garden, Pets, & Automotive: Yes, really. Bee feeders, dog games, car phone holders, seat covers.

The real fun is in finding it. You came to buy a phone charger, and after two hours you come out with a charger, animal-shaped pasta cutters, a novelty t-shirt, and a back massager. It is very easy to find it.

The Million-Dollar Question: Is Temu Legit or a Scam?

Brothers and sisters, this is the first question, and it is absolutely valid. When prices are so low that it doesn’t seem to be true, our scam radar comes on. So, the simple thing:

Based on my own experience and heavy research, Temu is a legitimate e-commerce company. It is not a scam.

They send you real products with a tracking number.
Their (mostly) working refund policy offers refunds for broken or missing items.

Easy Refund Process: I got a refund within 24 hours for a wrong-sized item without having to send it back.
Temu Cons: What You Need to Know
Friends, this is the part you need to read carefully. Temu has some real drawbacks.
Long Shipping Times: Adjust your expectations. 7-20 days delivery time is normal.
Inconsistent Quality: Quality is a lottery. You have to be a smart shopper.
